Anti-social run
I prefer running alone most of the time.
I get to think.
Listen to whatever in peace.
Run at my own pace.
Stop to appreciate my surroundings.
Today was no different.
I went for a run this morning.
I had a specific route in mind.
All geared up, with my favorite NBA podcast on, I headed out.
Upon arriving, I saw some familiar faces.
So I checked if they had seen me.
Sure that they hadn't, I rerouted.
In my mind, I laughed at myself.
Some days, I actually enjoy running with others.
But I guess today was one of those days when I didn't feel like having a chat.
Running, for me, is anti-social and a solo activity.
For today, at least.
