Deactivated
One thing about me that always surprises people is that I'm not active on social media.
And it surprises me too that people get surprised by this.
In today's world dominated by reels, likes and endless content, being offline feels liberating.
I often get asked, "Have you seen X's post on FB?"
Or "Have you watched Y's video about Z?"
I'd simply answer, "My account is deactivated."
Naturally, I would get looks of confusion and questions in return.
But eventually, I would just shrug and say nothing.
FOMO is real.
But this is one thing I'm comfortable with.
I've learned a long time ago that I don't need to explain or change just to fit in.
Being deactivated, but not disconnected.
