Unobserved
Contrary to my very own nature, I see myself as an achiever.
I want to be someone people look up to and admire.
Beneath the introvertedness is a part of me who's proud.
I want to learn how to speak in public confidently.
Sing my songs with a band in front of people.
Perform a dance routine.
Make others laugh.
Showcase my art in a gallery.
I want to be an image of success.
But my meekness always takes over.
When the opportunity presents itself, I retreat.
There's always that pull from the spotlight to the background.
That feeling of wanting to be alone.
There are times when I just dislike being around people.
It makes me anxious.
I get tired.
I'm unintentionally forced to act in a certain way.
But alone, I am me.
I don't feel the need to pretend.
I can get weird just like how I want to.
I can sing and dance.
Laugh and make faces.
I can speak unprofessionally.
Lie down all day and not worry about being productive.
I like the feeling of being unobserved.
Away from the noise.
Away from the crowd.
Just me and my chaotic thoughts.
In solitude.
